CASNA is a regional initiative to strengthen the capacity of
individuals and institutions to solve key food and nutrition issues facing the
region’s people. It brings together the expertise of key food and nutrition
institutes in Asia to promote and sustain progress in poverty alleviation and
the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals. A mechanism of regional
cooperation and partnership between Trainer and Trainee Institutions is
facilitated and promoted in order to strengthen research, policy formulation, as
well as the design, management, supervision and evaluation of food and nutrition
programs.
